Our reefs have been protected for over 20 years, with little diving activity as we are the exclusive center within the archipelago. We have had almost full control of the quantity of divers on our reefs, letting them recover when needed.
With our experience in the archipelago we can choose sites that suit our divers. Our sites range in depth, topography and usual sightings of sea life.
Eagle Rays, Turtles, Eels, Nudibranchs and even Sharks can be seen on any number of our sites. With a site range that includes caverns, caves, reefs, walls, swim throughs and sea mounts-there really is something for everyone to enjoy!
Our Dive Team works very hard daily to ensure that everyone gets the best experience that they can from diving with us in Cayos Cochinos.
To do this, we ensure that all equipment for any guest wanting to participate in the diving is placed on board before every dive. In the morning, your equipment is on board before you sit down for breakfast. Then it is also prepared in the afternoon by the same standard.
Our Boats leave the dock at 9am for a One tank guided dive with a max bottom time of 75 minutes. We then change your equipment over and offer a House Reef dive on the way back to the resort. Dropping you in and then ensuring someone is there to help when you come up. This process is repeated in the afternoon allowing you up to 4 Boat Dives daily. Night dives can also be arranged upon request.

The Promotion Video above is an example of the type of life we are fortunate enough to see here in Cayos Cochinos. Some of the footage was even taken on the House Reef, which is only 50 feet from the dock. With unlimited shore diving, there is no reason not to explore our House Reef, with a number of critters ranging from small Seahorses to large Eagle Rays that can be seen. You never know what you will see when you venture out.
As well as a wonderful house reef, our sites are perfect for producing underwater media. Whether you like to compose the perfect shot or stitch together a beautiful video, you really can take your time on our healthy reefs to produce exactly what you want to take home and show your friends and family! Whether you would like your work produced on a custom basis, or rent our equipment to create your own, we are sure that you will take home a number of wonderful memories!

Learning to dive in Cayos Cochinos is an experience in itself, being around some of the healthiest Coral Reef systems in the world with talented and patient PADI Instructors.
When you choose to take those first breaths, either through a "Try Dive" Discover SCUBA Diving experience or as a full certification Open Water diver, learning in the shallow waters off our dock can be an exciting process.
Practice skills in shallow, calm and clear water while keeping an eye out for those beautiful Eagle Rays cruising by. Turtles take shelter in our bay and can often be seen in shallow water only feet from our dock.

In short....everything is included in your package. From the transfers from the mainland to the Islands all the way through to your accommodation at the resort and 3 meals a day. your only expense will be your bar bill.
Once you get to the resort, you will be given a full orientation of the dive team, facilities, boats and anything else necessary. Answering all of your questions, our Dive Manager will then brief you on your role at the resort during your stay.
Within your training, you do not only receive quality instruction but vital experience working alongside the dive team on the day-to-day running of the boats.
During your Divemaster Internship you will be expected to participate in more than just the mandatory skills laid down by PADI. Working at the resort is more than just the fun of diving, there are guests to cater to, tanks to pump, forms to sign and much more.
Working as part of our Dive Team will give you responsibility, an education about the industry and most importantly, vital experience that you can take away with you to other corners of the world. We pride ourselves on our service to the guests that we take down, we will assume that same level of pride and care to be delivered from you during your course.
This way, when you walk away from the resort with your Divemaster, you know there is more to the life of a Divemaster than simply diving.
Before completing your PADI Divemaster, there are a few items that you must have before participating.
These include;
*A Signed Medical Statement
*At least 60 Logged Dives upon completion
*Be certified as a PADI Rescue Diver or equivalent
*Be an Open Water Diver for at least 6 months
*Be First Aid and CPR trained
If you lack any of these items, simply email us and we can see if we can arrange to have you complete them here in Honduras before you start your Divemaster.
Our team at CCDC wants to give you the best experience possible while you stay and dive with us in paradise.
To do this, we offer a number of services that can enhance your stay with us. This starts with when you arrive in La Ceiba, our Dive Manager will meet you and escort you personally out to the islands. Once you arrive in the beautiful Cayos Cochinos, you will be given a full orientation of the dive staff, facilities and boats. This service continues throughout your stay, including our unique Valet Service and the offer of Private Guides and Custom Underwater Media.
Of the many compliments we receive for our Dive Team, one that is echoed through every set of guests is the Valet Services.
Our unique service takes away the hassle of diving. Before you sit down to eat breakfast our Dive Team has already set your equipment up on one of our boats.
Then, once you have completed your dives your equipment will be changed onto fresh tanks before being rinsed in fresh water and hung to dry in your very own personal space at the end of the day.
With our Valet Service, all you have to do is put your arms in, fun dive and take your arms out.
Taking your comfort one level higher, we also offer a Private Guide service for all of our guests. For a small additional charge, you can have one of our Dive Team buddy with you throughout the week, diving at your pace and pointing out life just for you. At the end of the day, the normal Valet Service is included with the rinsing and storing of your equipment.

Resort Manager/Divemaster
Rio has been coming to Cayos Cochinos for almost 20 years! Coming down to visit as a child, Rio developed his love for the underwater world. He comes onto the boat as much as possible. However, the majority of his time is spent running the resort, ensuring that any guest is having the best possible experience of Cayos Cochinos.
Captain
Danny has been at the resort now for almost 20 years, joining the team as a young man, Danny has learnt his trade in Cayos Cochinos. An experienced captain, a fantastic help on the boat and all round great guy. Danny speaks both English and Spanish and will always be available to help during your stay!
Captain/Dive Instructor
Roger has a great amount of experience in Cayos Cochinos, guests who came to the resort over 15 years ago will recognize his face. With thousands of dives in the archipelago, Roger is a valuable member of the team. An equipment technician and master of mechanics!
Here at CCDC, we understand that people have time constraints, which may mean that they are unable to stay at the resort to dive.
Fear not, as day diving is an option with us. Whether you wish to dive once or multiple times we can arrange all of the fun for you.
Arrive at our dock in the morning to be given a full orientation of the boats, team, equipment and our diving procedures. You will then be assigned a member of our dive team to buddy with during your stay with us. You will also receive our entire standard Valet services, offering a new level of care.

We offer a Private Guide service which enables you to work with the same Dive Guide throughout your stay, giving you a much more personal service. Dive your own way and do not worry about the rest of the group!
